Cold winter weather can be quite stressful and damaging for your hair. Mine usually tend to look duller and drier when low temperatures hit New York City, heaters are used every day, and constant rubbing against coat collars and scarfs is inevitable. I have to add here that my hair are very thin, plus I chemically straighten them (that’s a story for a separate post) which dries out my hair a lot. As a result, I’m especially careful when choosing my winter hair care products.
My hair care routine is very simple but it works perfectly: shampoo + conditioner + occasional hair mask + moisturizing hair cream (to fight split ends and more). I recently discovered HASK Beauty hair products that are free of dangerous sulfates, paragons, phthalates, gluten, drying alcohol and artificial colors. There are many options available, and I especially love their Superfruit collection with cupuacu butter, acai berry and mangosteen oil that helps provide long lasting moisture and shine.
If you like volumizing shampoos and conditioners, you should definitely check Chia Seed Oil collection that is formulated to help enhance and enrich hair strands every time you suds up. Cultivated in South America, the tiny seeds of the chia plant are fortified with proteins, antioxidants, calcium and nutrients like omega-3s to boost shine, increase volume and lock-in moisture without weighing hair down.
Once I wash and dry my hair, I love to apply hair creams to fight frizz and split ends. I’ve never knew hair creams can be anti-aging like this Snail CC Creme by Kenra Platinum.

Thank you! Yes, the chia seed oil shampoo and conditioner are great 🙂
This is great thank you for sharing. I’m not sure I can get these products where I am from but I most certainly will be following the same steps with my preferred products!
Thank you Geneva! I love to use natural chemicals free products.
I’ve rarely used a hair mask…actually I totally forgot about those. But this product line looks so good and the “superfruit” name sounds delicious. Great branding on their part cuz now I want to check it out!

I love hair masks 😉 Thank you for stopping by Danielle!
I live in Qatar where water is horrible, we need to add filters on shower if we want to preserve our hair. So a beauty routine to take care my hair is a must to do. Love your tips, there are products that I really want to try out!

I wish summer was all year round! But since for now it’s not possible, paying more attending to hair care during winter definitely helps.
